Jessie - An Adventurous Soul...
Jessie's Creek Cottage is named after Jessie's Creek, which winds past the Mountain View Hotel opposite the cottage on its journey to the King River just a few hundred metres to the east. Village legend has it that the creek takes its name from a local lass named Jessie, who was well-known in Whitfield for enjoying refreshing skinny-dips in the creek's crystal clear waters. Jessie is long gone now, but you can still take the short walk from the cottage down to the tranquil banks of the creek and admire the beauty, maybe even take a dip yourself...?
